Job Overview

We’re seeking a detail-oriented CWI to:

  • Inspect welding processes and materials
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Identify and address defects or non-conformities
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize welding processes
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

1. Conduct visual and destructive testing of welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.

2. Verify welding procedures and qualifications.
Monitor and control welding processes.

Inspection and Testing

1. Perform inspections of welding operations, materials, and equipment.
2. Identify and document defects or non-conformities.

Documentation and Reporting

1. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and certifications.
2. Generate reports on inspection findings and recommendations.
3. Update quality control documentation.

Collaboration and Improvement

1. Collaborate with production teams to optimize welding processes.
2. Provide training and guidance on welding procedures.
3. Identify areas for process improvement.

Certification and Compliance

1. Maintain AWS CWI certification and industry knowledge.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, API).
3. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications

  • AWS CWI Certification
  • 1-10 years of Welding Inspection experience.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Bolting Experience (Preferred)
  • MT Experience (Preferred)
  • UT Experience (Preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English. Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
